Happy Valentine’s Day | san diego photographer

As you all know, I’m participating in a 26 week challenge this year. The theme for this week is “love” and it just so happens that Valentine’s Day is tomorrow! I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to share some of the photos I took last weekend at So Childish in South Park. We held our third annual Have a Heart Valentine fundraiser and it was a huge success! Last year we raised funds for Max’s Ring of Fire, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for childhood cancer research. This is an organization very close to my heart because my own son was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma when he was 9 months old. He is now a thriving, energetic 5 year old with big dreams for the life ahead of him. Organizations like Max’s Ring of Fire are crucial in the fight against childhood cancer. So it was an easy choice when it came to the Valentine fundraiser this year. I had the opportunity to photograph close to 50 families last weekend and 100% of the proceeds went once again to Max’s Ring of Fire. We were able to raise almost $2,000!! One person really can make a difference and I encourage you all to do something today that will make a difference in your community and the world around you. “Intense love does not measure, it just gives.” – Mother Teresa
