Mini Sessions are a great idea to capture that updated family photo, growing kids (especially the first year), and even updated photos with your significant other (because once you have kids, you tend to forget about things like that). Here are a few images from the last of my Fall mini sessions. Enjoy!

Fall is here! Hooray! I’m loving all of the Fall colors and the cooler temperatures. I recently photographed this sweet family with baby twins. They were the smiliest babies I have ever seen. Mom’s co-workers were kind enough to purchase a gift certificate for a photo session as a baby shower gift. Such a great idea! With Christmas right around the corner, consider giving the gift of photography to your friends and family this holiday season. Email me for details! Until then, enjoy all the glorious Fall colors in this blog post. : )
I typically prefer field and rural locations for my family photoshoots, but every once in awhile I like to shake things up and do something a little different. It’s been so long since I did a round of minisessions in the downtown area so I arranged to meet up with a few awesome families for a morning of urban fun. I love how these images turned out!
Back in 2009, I had the opportunity to photograph a beautiful San Diego wedding for two of the most soulful people I know. Chuck and Susan are so kind and genuine and just all around salt of the earth type of people. I was elated when they contacted me and asked if we could do a photo session to capture some updated images of the new additions they added to their family. On the day of their session, Chuck and Susan greeted me with two sweet little dogs and a vivacious little girl named Sunny. Sunny is so full of life and has such a joyful, sweet spirit. We had a lot of fun finding sticks and rocks in one of my favorite fields. And at the end, the whole family busted out some seriously goofy glasses for a few fun candid shots. Here are a few of my favorite images from their session. I loved everything about it … the colors, the location, the dogs, and definitely the people. Fun families make for fun photoshoots. : )
I finished editing the last few sessions I did in San Diego and looking through all of these beach photos definitely made me a little homesick. I’m really excited about the life God has in store for us here in Austin, but I do miss these beautiful beaches and the weather. Oh man, don’t get me started on the weather. ; ) I’ll be in San Diego on a regular basis, so to all of my clients in America’s Finest City … feel free to contact me any time you need a session. Here are a few of my favorite images from the last days of Summer:
